37. Phnom Banan

Phnom Banan is a mountain top 11th century Ankorian ruin comprised of five prasats. It is a peaceful location with a gorgeous view. In addition, L’Angbut Meas cave is a very old (150 years+) active pagoda at the base of the mountain. Both Battambang and a surrounding countryside are replete with pagodas, some of which are very old and revered. See around Battambang for further information about visiting the  local pagodas.
