36. Battambang Province

Battambang city is located along the upper western part of Tonle Sap River bank, it is famous for its rich natural resources and fertile soil, and anything can be grown in the land with productive result. Battambang alone can feed the whole country with good quality rice. Ruby and garnet mines are the natural treasures found in this province. Included in this natural richness; Battambang has many ancient temples, which dated back to between 10th – 13th centuries. They are worth a visit and proved an interesting cultural excursion.
